Ride for Kids Season Openers Raise More Than $100,000 for PBTF
2013 Ride for Kids events kicked off on April 14, raising more than $100,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in its first weekend.
Asheville, NC, April 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The 2013 Ride for Kids season roared out of the gate in South Florida and Southern California on April 14. Riders combined to raise more than $100,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, with more funds coming in over the next 30 days.
The South Florida Ride for Kids in Deerfield Beach featured bright skies and brighter smiles, while cool, rainy weather made for a fun day in the mud in San Bernardino, Calif. A total of nine young brain tumor survivors were on hand for the two rides with their families.
Making life better for these Ride for Kids Stars is the reason motorcyclists across the country ride for the PBTF, which funds medical research and family support programs to help eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors.
The South Florida and Southern California events are collecting donations online at www.rideforkids.org. Fundraisers will receive incentive credit through May 14.
