DBS Wins Multiple Honors from Horizon Interactive Awards Judges
Louisville online design and marketing firm takes five awards in international competition.
Louisville, KY, April 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- DBS>Interactive’s designs for St. James Court Art Show, University of Louisville Physicians and Leadership Louisville were all award winners at the 11th Annual Horizon Interactive Awards.
More than 1000 entries from 25 different countries were judged in this year’s competition.
DBS>Interactive won a Gold Award in the Websites-Responsive/Mobile Design for the St. James Court Art Show website. The panel also awarded DBS with a Bronze for the same site in the Advocacy/Non-Profit category.
The web design for Leadership Louisville won Silver for Web Design in the Advocacy/Non-Profit category and Bronze for Responsive/Mobile Design.
The Horizon Interactive Awards judges also awarded DBS with a Bronze Award in Web Redesign in the Health/Human Service category for the overhaul of the University of Louisville Physicians site.
A panel of industry professionals from multi-media, graphic design and marketing backgrounds review and judge the entries in the international competition. Each entry was judged on solution creativity and originality, overall graphic design/appearance/user experience, communication of message, technical merit and effectiveness of solution.
“The 2012 competition has, once again, raised the bar for future competitions,” said Mike Sauce, Founder of the Horizon Interactive Awards. “There really seems to be a convergence of all forms of media providing rich user experiences with a renewed focus on sound marketing and design principles that clearly communicate a message. It is also very encouraging to see all of the websites that are starting to be developed on a responsive framework. That is truly a sign that developers are staying on top of our changing user environments and building sites that will be optimized for whatever the device that is viewing the content. With fierce competition from all of the categories, this year’s winners should be proud to be among the best of the best from around the world!”
