Launch of the Roots of Christian Mysticism Course - Starting Thursday 25 April 2013 in London
London, United Kingdom, April 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- This is a rare opportunity to reflect on the riches of the Christian contemplative tradition. Contemplation as the art of silent prayer, is no longer confined to the monasteries but is being reclaimed by the ordinary Christian. This is a course for anybody who wishes to explore their Christian spiritual roots.
Well known speakers will lead the sessions and will walk us through the Christian mystical tradition from Jesus to the present time. Great mystics who have shaped the tradition will be studied. The speakers include Fr Laurence Freeman, a Benedictine monk and Director of The World Community of Christian Meditation, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Kallistos Ware, Dr Peter Tyler, Kim Nataraja, Director of The School of Meditation and other speakers with depth of knowledge in the field.
