InTouch Credit Union Collects Change for Children's Lives
Credit Unions for Kids Campaign Benefits Local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
Plano, TX, April 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- InTouch Credit Union (ITCU) is excited to announce their participation in Credit Union for Kids’ Change a Child’s Life campaign to begin on Monday, April 22, 2013 and running throughout the month of May. This coin drive’s proceeds benefit local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in the four states ITCU has branch locations.
By inviting their members to donate their change while making financial transactions, ITCU hopes to make a difference in the lives of area kids. Funds raised by ITCU will go to help treat sick and injured children in ITCU’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals: St. Rose Dominican Hospitals in Henderson, Nev., Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and Children’s Medical Centers in Plano & Dallas, Texas.
The Credit Unions for Kids program is the third largest donor to the Children’s Miracle Network, having donated over $100 Million since 1996. This joint effort among credit unions throughout the country, including InTouch Credit Union, is one way credit unions help their local communities, by making sure families in their membership always have a place to turn if a child becomes ill or injured.
The Children’s Miracle Network raises awareness and generates funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals to help sick and injured kids in their local communities. These donations fund specialized medical care, research and education that save and improve the lives of children.
“We are thrilled to participate alongside our fellow credit unions in raising funds for this special cause. The camaraderie amongst fellow credit unions is just one of the things that makes the credit union model so unique, increasing our ability to make a large scale impact in our individual communities,” said Diane Gerstner, Executive Vice President of InTouch Credit Union.
Donations will be accepted at all InTouch Credit Union locations through May 31, 2013. For more information about InTouch Credit Union’s community fundraisers, events and education efforts, please contact Sherry Cassidy, AVP of Public Relations and Education at (214) 291-1939.
