SIS Partners with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Expanding Relationship with BJC HealthCare
St. Louis, MO, August 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- As part of its continuing relationship with BJC HealthCare, SIS (Surgical Information Systems) will be providing its perioperative solution to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, which U.S. News & World Report ranks as number 9 in the nation and which also has the distinction of being placed on the "Honor Roll" of America’s best hospitals for the past 15 consecutive years.
The Barnes-Jewish Hospital implementation is in addition to four community BJC HealthCare hospitals that have implemented, or will soon be implementing, the comprehensive SIS solution. Since 2006, SIS has been providing its surgery management solution to many of the organization’s other hospitals including Alton Memorial Hospital, Christian Hospital Northeast, Progress West Healthcare Center, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, and now the nearly 1,300 bed Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Teams of experienced SIS professionals have provided quality support, enabling BJC surgeons, clinicians, and OR management to focus on improved patient safety and financial outcomes throughout the perioperative continuum with the SIS automated system. “SIS’ comprehensive OR solution allows hospitals to utilize a single database across the entire perioperative continuum,” said SIS CEO Ed Daihl. “For a medical organization the size and sophistication of BJC HealthCare, SIS’ unified solution provides full software interoperability with the hospitals’ other specialized solutions. We are integration experts with the know-how to implement the SIS solution in nearly any environment.”
Barnes-Jewish Hospital will also be integrating SIS Analytics, a proven, powerful tool that enables hospital executives and OR management to make informed decisions based on accurate clinical and business data. It will be fully integrated into the hospital’s SIS database, giving users quick access to perioperative data for the purpose of making critical business decisions.
