Cheer Channel Inc (CCI) will film Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader 2: The Fierce One at The Elite Cheer Company gym in South Austin, Texas. The Elite Cheer Company is the premier All-Star cheer gym in South Austin.
Austin, TX, April 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Cheer Channel Inc. (CCI), the #1 online news and entertainment network for the spirit industry, announced that The Elite Cheer Company was the official gym location for the second season of CCI's hit web-series, Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader 2: The Fierce One.
The Elite Cheer Company was founded in 2005 by Lindsey and Russell Miller, both former All-Star and University of Texas Cheerleaders, as South Austin''s premier facility dedicated to All-Star Cheerleading, Power Tumbling, and Hip-Hop Dance. TECC''s facility is a 12,000 square foot gym with a full-size competition spring floor, an instructional class spring floor, a multi-use foam mat floor, custom built trampoline decks, a 25-foot indoor rock climbing wall, a 1,500 square foot activity and video game loft, and a parent viewing lobby and kitchen area.
The size and versatility of The Elite Cheer Company gym was a huge draw for the Cheer Channel production crew in selecting the gym for the series filming. The activity and game lodge, along with the kitchen and lobby area provide depth for the scenes that can be shot within the gym. Lance Robbins, Executive Producer of the series said, "The Elite Cheer Company gym is so much more than just a cheer and dance performance center. It is a premier and outstanding facility and we could not have found a more perfect place to film Secret Diary 2: The Fierce One." Many of the Elite Cheer cheerleaders were a part of the fictitious cheer teams on the show, the "Texas Twisters," and "Shooting Stars."
"The Elite Cheer Company is thrilled to work with Cheer Channel and to be a part of the exciting hit web-series," said Russell Miller, CEO of The Elite Cheer Company. "It has created quite a buzz amongst our athletes and families and we are all looking forward to being part of the production." Miller played a role in the series as an assistant coach for the "Texas Twisters" and helped to choreograph the stunts and routines that the "Texas Twisters" performed. Miller has contributed his talents to such films as Varsity Blues and The New Guy.
