Minneapolis, MN, April 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The “Doggone Worst Website” contest, sponsored by the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce (SPACC) and Brandography, a full-service digital marketing firm, has sent the final five contestants to a round of public voting to decide a winner.

Each of the nominations received for the contest was sponsored by a SPACC member and featured a local business or individual with a website worthy of a digital makeover. Now down to the final five, submissions were primarily small businesses, organizations and individuals within the Twin Cities area. The final five contestants are:

Site One: www.TSE-Inc.org - TSE Inc. - A private, not-for-profit company that supports people with developmental and other intellectual disabilities.

Site Two: www.SaintPaulPoliceFoundation.com - Saint Paul Police Foundation - A private, nonprofit, organization that supports the Saint Paul Police Department by providing funding that is not otherwise available.

Site Three: www.BuffaloTap.com – Buffalo Tap – A Savage, Minnesota Bar & Grill specializing in Juicy Lucys, Wisconsin cheese curds and Sunday Packer Games.

Site Four: www.Oak-Meadows.org – Oak Meadows – A not-for-profit independent and assisted senior living residence.

Site Five: www.Canada-Minnesota.org - The Canada-Minnesota Business Council is a Minnesota-based volunteer organization established to support the commercial, economic, and cultural relationship between Minnesota and Canada.

Voting will close on May 3, 2013, and the popular winner will receive a $10,000 value grand prize package of digital design and marketing services from Brandography, a Minneapolis marketing agency. The prize includes benefits such as a mobile-optimized website, SEO and content review, a content management system, photos and videos, ROI reporting, logo retouching, promotional press releases, social media consultations, and $200 worth of advertising for new Google PPC accounts.

The digital transformation follows in the SPACC’s legacy of educating and developing both its members and the Twin Cities business climate. The largest local chamber in Minnesota, the SPACC employs advocacy, networking, and dynamic programs to serve the area’s business community.

In addition to sponsoring this website makeover, the SPACC and Brandography will be hosting a series of blog posts to instruct and inform readers on web optimization strategies for businesses. The posts, located on the Brandography blog, will use the winning website as an example, giving updates on the makeover process and explaining how the changes will aid the site’s marketing and design goals.
