Out-Fit Challenge to Host NYC Mud Run on June 29th, 2013 to Creatively Connect Community
Major Sporting Event Brings Together Members and Non-Members to Bring LGBT Cause Centerstage
New York, NY, April 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Out-Fit Challenge, (http://out-fitchallenge.com), announced today that they will be bringing a 5K cross-country trail Mud Run to New York this summer, as part of the official line up of events during NYC Pride. The event will take place on June 29th 2013 in Tuxedo Ridge, 581 Route 17A West, New York New York 10987 from 9am to 5pm with race waves beginning every 20 minutes. This mass regional sporting event was originally created as a graduate school project by Out-Fit Challenge CEO Tory Fitzgerald while at the Kellogg School of Management, and has grown to be a state to state national event open to all to bring awareness to LGBT Family equality. The Out-Fit Challenge has already made its fun and muddy footprint in Miami Beach during Gay Pride and offers an opportunity for both members and non-members of the LGBT community to connect on a friendly yet competitive level. The event features 15+ military style obstacles that may include mud, water, and ice throughout the 3.2 mile trail with entertaining obstacle names like Pipe Dreams, Vagitarian, Commando Crawl and Is that Mud in Your Pants. After racers cross the finish line, they take part in a festive and fun-filled post- party, which features a live DJ, muddy go-go boys, and a drag queen hostess. The Out-Fit Challenge will run shuttle buses from New York City to Tuxedo Ridge throughout the day. Tickets to participate in the event are $55 per person with group discounts provided.
