Dr. Korth has over 20 years experience in the field of dental care. He is a Periodontist at Michael W. Korth, DDS, PC in Houston, Texas. Dr. Korth specializes in implants and is responsible for periodontics, mobile I.V. sedation and making hospital visits. He serves as an advisor to dental implant and pharmacology companies and teaches other doctors by giving presentations. Dr. Korth taught dental school for 6 years. He was awarded American’s Top Periodontist by the Consumer Research Council of America and awarded for volunteering for the DDS Program by the State of Texas and Texas Dentists for Healthy Smiles. Dr. Korth is the Former President of the Greater Houston Society of Periodontists, Past Texas State Board Member of the Dental Advisory Committee on Peer Review and is affiliated with the A.A.P., A.D.A. and G.H.D.S. His career accomplishments include performing a study called “A Histological Comparison of Alloplastic Grafts Placed in Infrabony Defects Around Hydroxyappetite Coated Implants” submitted to Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry for publication. He obtained his B.S. at Texas A & M University, D.D.S. from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and M.S. in Periodontics from Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 1990. In his spare time, Dr. Korth enjoys fishing, hunting, volleyball, flying, scuba diving, tennis and golf.
