ICTO Awards National Project to Solutions Resource, Inc
Solutions Resource, Inc., a start-up company from the city of Quezon was awarded with a National government project just recently. Knowing that the said company is just on its first few years, being awarded with a national government project is indeed a milestone for them. Quezon City, Philippines, April 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Information and Communication Technology Office Department of Science and Technology (ICTO-DOST), a DOST arm tasked to be a lead implementing agency of the government in most of its ICT related efforts, recently granted its notice of award to Solutions Resource, Inc. for its National Records Management Information System (NaRMIS) project. The notice of award was granted on March 18, 2013 which was then received by Ma. Nevelyn Custodio, Gregorio Hermo, and Joel Castro, Solutions Resource’s Operations Manager, Technical Lead, and Senior IT Consultant, respectively.
After less than a month of waiting, the project was formally started as the Technology Resource Center released the notice to proceed on April 4, 2013. From then, Solutions Resource team conducted its various meetings and planning events.
Before awarding the project to Solutions Resource, Inc, the selection process for the said project lasted for about four months, holding two different bidding qualification events. Some considerations that were highlighted on the selection process were the amount of bid and the terms of how a certain company would be implementing the project, as per the need formulated by ICTO.
The NaRMIS project assigned by ICTO is about making a National Records Management Information System, where the name NaRMIS was coined. This project generally consists of making Document Tracking System, Records Management System, Archives Management System, Security Management, and Report and Audit Trails. Thus, one of the primary reasons for making this project is for it to serve as a central storage of documents that will be organized into a system and would help the users in accessing the said documents.
As according to the NARMIS terms of reference, the project will last for four months which will also include trainings that will be provided by Solutions Resource.
Meanwhile, aside from NaRMIS, Solutions Resource is also handling several projects from government institutions and as well as with some private institutions locally and in the US needing support on web design and development, mobile application development, internet marketing, lean software development and technical trainings.
