Ms. California America 2013 Crowned

Costa Mesa, CA, April 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Mrs. Kimberly Lattimore of Trabuco Canyon, CA, has recently been awarded the Ms. California America 2013 title by the Ms. America® Pageant.

The Ms. America® pageant is open to women 26 years of age and up, who are single, divorced or married. The selection process for receiving a title was done by submitting an application, photo and followed up by an interview over the phone. Titleholders from across the United States will compete in Interview, Sports Wear, Evening Gown and On-Stage Interview. “Kimberly really left a positive impression on our judges and we are thrilled to have her representing California at the 2013 Ms. America® Pageant finals this June in Costa Mesa, CA,” said Susan Jeske, Pageant CEO.

Kimberly Lattimore is the founder of Thrive Together NOW and is a dedicated health and fitness coach. She has spent over 22 years studying nutrition and fitness while concurrently raising and educating her 9 children.

After graduating from PROPTA, she has followed her passion of educating families about whole food nutrition, the importance of exercising and taking control of their health. Since then, she has spoken in her community, most recently for The Daniel Plan at Saddleback Church’s Healthy Living workshops and together with GUARDaHEART is helping to develop a lifestyle group in her community.

With over 20 years of experience in the food and wellness industry, Kimberly hopes to influence this and the next generation by providing a positive image and provides nutritional and fitness coaching for groups, families and individuals in the community. Together with her husband, she is helping families get healthier one decision at a time.

“I’m excited to be awarded the title of Ms. California America 2013,” says Mrs. Lattimore, “as I believe that this recognition will help me communicate of the importance of getting healthy and staying fit.”

One of Mrs. Lattimores desires is to educate parents about the alarming increase in childhood diabetes due in most part to diet and how they can help prevent this outcome for their own children.

The Mission of the pageant is to celebrate the accomplishments of women, encourage them to be involved in community service, as well as use the “Crown for a Purpose” to make a difference.

The Ms. America® Pageant will award over $40,000 in gift and prizes at this year’s national finals. The pageant will take place on June 23, 2013– 7:00 PM at the Hilton Orange County / Costa Mesa Resort Hotel which is located at 3050 Bristol Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
