Heimtextil India Takes Place at New Delhi in 2014 Reuniting India as Part of the Prestigious Heimtextil Global Network
Coinciding with the buying season, the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil India, will take place from 19 – 21 June 2014 in Hall 11 of Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Mumbai, India, May 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Heimtextil India 2014, organised by Messe Frankfurt, is a part of Messe Frankfurt’s international portfolio of Heimtextil events, currently held across Europe, the US, Russia and Asia. The New Delhi show aims to position itself as the only platform addressing contract and retail trade in the Indian Home Textile industry, allowing access to the booming realty, interiors and hospitality sectors in the country.
Mr Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies of Messe Frankfurt stated: “With Heimtextil India in New Delhi, we will offer the market an additional business platform. The Indian textile market has always been an international pioneer and is currently the second biggest in the world. With the support of the Indian government and on the basis of constant growth in domestic demand, the Indian market for home textile continues to expand. Thus, we will further increase our position as the world’s leading organiser of textile fairs and take the next step in our global development plan."
India’s textile market, backed by favourable government policies, strong infrastructure and finely-tuned service capabilities, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 9.5 per cent to exceed INR 12 trillion (USD 223 billion) by 2021, up from INR 4 trillion (USD 89 billion) in 2011. An integral part of the industry, the home textiles and furnishing sector, currently estimated at INR 17,000 crore (USD 4 billion), is expected to maintain a brisk CAGR of 9 per cent and projected to be worth INR 40,000 crore (USD 9 billion) by 2021.
Many factors point to the importance of a Heimtextil event for India. Increasing households, disposable incomes and sectors like office and hospitality are some of the key growth drivers of the home textile and furnishing market. Additionally, there has been a significant increase in the number of high net worth individuals who take their homes and its décor seriously. This housing boom, in sync with increasing consumerism within the country, heightens the significance of hosting Heimtextil India 2014.
A great launching platform for new ideas and trends, Heimtextil India will represent the industry’s fastest growing markets and provide access to a professional, proactive, buying audience from India and around the world. Exhibiting manufacturers of home textile products will be able to widen their market scope and benefit from a number of decision-making buyers and professionals, including buyer delegations, contractors, wholesalers, retail-buying houses, agents, interior designers and many more from India and around the world. Separated into the nine categories of Bedroom, Bath linen, Table linen, Kitchen textiles, Window decorations, Furniture fabric salon, Textile floor coverings, Walls of the world and Design & technology, Heimtextil India 2014 will showcase a wide spectrum of interior and contract textiles.
Mr Raj Manek, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd added: “The burgeoning demand for home textiles in India has reinforced the need to have a professional show dedicated to this segment. We are more than happy to bring the biggest trade fair brand for home and contract textiles to India. The fair, being the most significant platform addressing trade in the home textile industry will introduce India to international markets.”
