Balfour Beatty Construction Names New Director of Business Development in the Southwest

San Diego, CA, May 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Balfour Beatty Construction announced the appointment of Cecilia Kucharski as director of business development for the company’s Southwest Division. As part of her senior management role, Kucharski will lead the division’s efforts in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within all San Diego vertical market sectors including multi-family residential, hospitality, commercial, healthcare, education, military, criminal justice, and government.

“With more than 17 years in the industry and a background in operations, preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, marketing, and business development, Cecilia is an outstanding addition to our team,” said Brian Cahill, division president for Balfour Beatty Construction in the Southwest. “She will play a key role in our continued growth throughout the region.”

Most recently, Kucharski served as preconstruction director for Webcor Builders where she was responsible for estimating, preconstruction, and business development. Prior to that, she oversaw projects for both Webcor Builders and DPR Construction where she successfully performed preconstruction and construction management for projects of varying types in the public and private markets.

Kucharski is actively involved in industry organizations including the Downtown San Diego Partnership and the Urban Land Institute of San Diego/Tijuana. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University and is also a certified LEED Accredited Professional.
