Opens showroom in Miami in June 2013; In kitchens, U.S. manufacturing is a key strategy Export market; CEO Max Müller: "We want our kitchens in the world's largest market"
New York, NY, May 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- ALNO AG ("ALNO"), a leading kitchen manufacturer in Germany strengthened its presence in the U.S. market and is opening a showroom in Miami, Florida, June 2013. ALNO has established its own subsidiary as well as a separate kitchen studio in the United States in New York in January 2012.
ALNO’s 3,500 square foot corporate showroom in Miami’s Design District is located at 3650 N. Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida. The design showroom caters to residential and commercial kitchen and other cabinet projects to meet South Florida’s increasing demand for interior renovations and construction.
The kitchen market has sold 4.6 million kitchens annually and is still the largest in the world. Residential construction has, especially in the regions New York and Miami, risen considerably. After a six-year lull, the overall market now shows clear signs of a strong turnaround.

The prestigious order placed with ALNO includes kitchens for 100 condos and penthouses a luxury project on Broadway, not far from the new World Trade Center. The price per condominium starts at 1.2 million U.S. dollars.
In the U.S. in 2012, residential building permits increased in comparison to the previous year by 28.8 percent. Experts predict that in the context of recovery in building, the overall market for kitchen and storage units in the U.S. will grow 8.2 percent annually until 2016, kitchen cabinets being the leader in this category. The market volume is set to rise to $12.6 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 51.8 percent compared since 2011.
After the recent success in the export business in France and Dubai, alongside the U.S., ALNO is expanding in China and Russia. Especially the latter increase potential and is promising. German furniture exports to China (+12%) and Russia (+19%) have grown in the period from January to November 2012.
Whether through its own subsidiaries, joint ventures or trading partners: "For us, export is consistently a central pillar in our growth strategy that we will strengthen," said ALNO CEO Max Müller. ALNO therefore expects further growth planned for additional foreign financing, which, among other things, will include the issuance of a bond. The goal is to expand the proportion of foreign sales to more than 40 percent.
