Child Care Lounge Offers Support Group for Pittsburgh Area Directors

Pittsburgh, PA, May 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Child Care Lounge, an online web resource for child care professionals, has created a Director’s Support Group for Pittsburgh area child care directors. The group holds monthly meetings to discuss a variety of topics relating to child care, such as:

· -Staffing Concerns
· -Recruitment
· -Grant writing/foundation requests for non-profits
· -Transportation for School Age

As a member of the Director’s Support Group, participants will receive support and guidance from other area directors. Within this group, the directors have also opened their centers to each other for tours and to provide job shadowing from exemplary staff to newly hired staff. Additionally, Child Care Lounge is supporting the group by creating a child care substitute pool (so centers can have access to child care subs in the area), creating a family orientation package, and providing lending library of resource materials for directors. Membership is free. The next monthly meeting will be held on May 16, 2013 at Panera Bread Meeting Room, 5430 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
