Medics On The Ball Helping Rolling Stones Fans Have a Ball
Medics On The Ball served as the medical crew on staff for Saturday’s surprise Rolling Stones concert at The Echoplex in Los Angeles.
Granada Hills, CA, May 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- As Southern California’s premier event medical standby company, Medics On The Ball, was thrilled to get the chance to keep more than 500 Rolling Stones fans safe at the now legendary secret concert the band held in Los Angeles over the weekend.
When the Rolling Stones played a surprise gig at the Echoplex in Los Angeles last Saturday evening, the British rockers called on Medics On The Ball to provide medical support during the show. Medics On The Ball was contacted just days before the concert by event organizers who were hoping to secure a professional and reliable crew of paramedics to work the show. Organizers wouldn’t disclose the band’s identity at that time, but they did say it was the “biggest band in the world.”
“It was an amazing show to be a part of,” said Steve Hamburg, President of Medics On The Ball. “Watching the Rolling Stones in a club of just 500 people – the word ‘wow’ doesn’t even begin to sum it up.”
The secret Rolling Stones show was a “warm-up” gig for the band’s “50 and Counting” anniversary tour, which kicks off on May 3 at Staples Center. Tickets for the surprise concert went on sale just hours before the show began and were assigned via a lottery that sold out quickly.
Medics On The Ball provided three paramedics for the secret gig. While there were thankfully no serious medical emergencies, the crew stayed busy throughout the night treating several patients, some of whom were high-profile celebrities. Staff members, however, declined to say who – safety is their priority, not naming names!
As a leader in affordable first-aid services, Medics On The Ball is a full-service team of highly-trained medical professionals who provide thorough medical care at events across Southern California. Medics On The Ball provides qualified medical staffing for concerts, celebrity and charity events, red-carpet galas, sporting competitions, street fairs, festivals and more.
