Tampa Chapter of Credit Unions "Cruise for Kids" Motorcycle Run to be Held May 19th
Tampa, FL, May 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Tampa Chapter of Credit Unions is hosting The 9th Annual Credit Union Cruise For Kids Motorcycle Poker Run on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Quaker Steak and Lube motorsports-themed restaurant in Pinellas Park.
The Poker Run registration will begin at 10 am at Brandon Harley Davidson with Uncle Mike’s Smokehouse serving breakfast at 9 am. From there the ride will stop at Tampa Harley Davidson in Tampa, Jim’s Harley Davidson in St. Pete, and then on to Quaker Steak and Lube in Pinellas Park where participants will draw their final 2 playing cards and join in the party featuring The Stormbringer Band, 50/50 raffle, dozens of door prize baskets, MC Party Patti, Born To Ride motorcycle bike show and a trophy presentation for the motorcycle club with the most rider participants. The event grand finale will be a drawing for two $5,000.00 Visa Gift Cards sponsored by Attorney Fran Haasch and Credit Union Remarketing Services of Valrico.
The Credit Union Cruise for Kids has raised over $420,000.00 for local children's charities since inception in 2004. The Annual Credit Union Cruise for Kids has benefited many local children's charities including; All Children’s Hospital, Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and Hernando, Voices For Children, Clothes To Kids, Oasis, Make a Wish, The Children’s Home, For Every Child, and Metropolitan Ministries.
Event Chairperson Sharmon Lenth hopes this year will be the event’s signature year and make it over the ½ million dollar mark. “The Tampa Bay Motorcycle Community, no matter a cruiser or a sport biker, are by far some of the most caring and giving citizens of our community. We have been honored over the past 8 years that more and more of our community’s motorcyclist join our ride and support in a big way the kids of Tampa Bay,” Lenth said.
The goal of the Tampa Chapter of Credit Unions is to raise credit union awareness, support our affiliated credit unions by providing educational events for employees, and contribute to community development, charitable causes, and political action that support the credit union movement. Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union is a member.
