Morrison Remodeling Takes Silver in the 2012 CotY Awards
The North Shore contractor won with a challenging bathroom remodel.
Beverly, MA, May 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Morrison Remodeling & Repairs LLC, a leading Massachusetts residential remodeling company operating north of Boston, was awarded a prestigious 2012 Contractor of the Year (CotY) award by the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Morrison Remodeling took Silver in the Residential Bath $30,000-$60,000 category with a project that included dark cherry cabinetry, a granite counter, bench seating, a walk-in custom tile shower with multiple sprays, and radiant floor heating.

The CotY Awards recognize the most exceptional remodeling projects completed by NARI members over the course of the previous year. Entries take the form of before and after photos of each submitted project, along with extremely detailed descriptions of the project itself. A panel of adjudicators composed of remodeling industry experts then judges submissions based on criteria like craftsmanship, aesthetics, functionality, and how the contractor approached the challenges involved in the project's completion.
In the case of Morrison Remodeling's CotY-winning project, challenges included designing a fixture orientation that would accommodate household members of varying heights, improving toilet access, creating additional storage, and helping this functional space feel more welcoming and elegant. To complete the project, Morrison and his crew relied on support and materials from Salem Plumbing/Designer Bath and Moynihan Lumber.
"My team and I really enjoy the problem solving aspect of remodeling," added Morrison. "Every new project is a new challenge to defeat; every new customer is another chance to give more than our best. We don't go into new jobs thinking about awards, but we really appreciate times like these when our efforts are recognized because it means we're meeting the goals we set for ourselves."
