Mass Service Alliance Seeks Nominations for Leaders in Community Service and Volunteerism

The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) invites the community to nominate outstanding individuals who served in AmeriCorps, Commonwealth Corps or Senior Corps or are Service Learning Practitioners, nonprofits, or business/corporations that excel in engaging volunteers for the 2013 Massachusetts Service and Volunteerism Awards.

Boston, MA, May 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Individuals, organizations and corporations across Massachusetts demonstrate the power of service and volunteerism every day. The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) invites the community to nominate outstanding individuals who served in AmeriCorps, Commonwealth Corps or Senior Corps or are Service Learning Practitioners, nonprofits, or business/corporations that excel in engaging volunteers for the 2013 Massachusetts Service and Volunteerism Awards.

MSA will pay tribute to the winners in five categories that demonstrate the diverse nature of support for service and volunteerism in the Commonwealth. The awards will be presented during a special "Awards Luncheon Ceremony" at the 2013 Massachusetts Conference on Service and Volunteerism on Thursday, June 6th at the Best Western Royal Plaza in Marlborough, MA. The day-long conference brings together people across the state that are focused on engaging people of all different ages, backgrounds, and skill-sets, to solve critical problems in Massachusetts through volunteering and service.

Award Categories include:

Corporate Volunteerism Award
Outstanding Non-Profit Volunteer Program Award
Outstanding Service-Learning Practitioner
“Getting Things Done” in Massachusetts Award
Higher-Education Community Service Champion
