Atlantic City, NJ, May 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Tri-State Caribbean Cultural Foundation is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Atlantic City Carnival. The Atlantic City Carnival is a spectrum of color and light that showcases the Caribbean tradition of Carnival. The carnival features an effervescent parade of vibrant masqueraders dancing down the famous Atlantic City boardwalk to the colorful sounds of the Caribbean. Different musical styles such as Soca, Tassa, Calypso, and Reggae, emanating from steel drums, pulsate through the warm, moist Atlantic air as a sea of masqueraders move and dance harmoniously alongside the ocean, grand marshaled by a guest of honor and in the company of Miss Caribbean United States and The Honorable Mayor Langsford.

Friday, July 19th, at 9:00 p.m. the carnival kicks off with the Miss Caribbean Pageant & Flag Party at the Howard Johnson Hotel. Come watch beautiful Caribbean Americans compete for the crown of Miss Caribbean NJ as well as a spot at the national Miss Caribbean United States Pageant. Bring your flags to represent and lime (party) with us for post-pageant partying. Flags flying high, bandanas waving through the air, a large gathering packs in toward the stage where DJ’s rile up the people with music, dancing, and freebies being tossed into the crowd.

Saturday, July 20th at 12:00 p.m., the parade will begin at Showboat Casino with a ceremonial opening from Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford, who will lead the parade down the boardwalk, along with Miss Caribbean United States. Music is the theme of the day, as the parade is followed by a vivacious concert featuring the most prominent of all Caribbean artists. Thousands gather at historic Bader Field as the performer sings out over the animated crowd. Energetic dancing is accompanied by flags of Caribbean nations flying through the air. Patrons enjoy the ample services of surrounding tents providing food, drinks, souvenirs, and giveaways, creating the atmosphere of a festival and a taste of the Caribbean. Also be sure to attend our official Déjà Vu after party at the Howard Johnson Hotel to dance and mingle with the masqueraders.
