Wright Scoop Solicits Plants of CARE Nominations

In honor of the months of May and June as national "Flower Month," Glen Allen VA based The Wright Scoop – eco consultant, lecturer, & wordsmith Sylvia Hoehns Wright solicits nominations for her ‘Plants of CARE’ – conservation, accountability, recovery and eco-efficiency’ program.

Glen Allen, VA, May 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Across the Nation, seasonal change occurs, “Providing” says Glen Allen, VA based The Wright Scoop –Sylvia Hoehns Wright, founder of the Plants of Care plant recognition program and recipient of the Turning America from Eco-weak to Eco-chic award, “an opportunity for all to identify plants that enable eco sustainable urban suburban landscapes.” Having implemented a plant recognition program in 2012, the Wright Scoop is accepting nominations for her ‘plants of CARE’ program – plants that exhibit eco sustainable characteristics proven to connect people to the living green that surrounds them.

Landscape Gardens of CARE -
“Eco-sustainable spaces and the plants that inhabit these spaces,” says Wright, “are not simply a result of lifestyle choices but reflect how we feel about the environment. While keeping it simple (as in simple living) is the name of the game, there is a more important underlying factor – a commitment to ultimate greening: providing for the present without sacrificing the future. So, in addition to sustainability characteristics, what makes a ‘plant of CARE’ different? These plants are identified to flourish in multiple climate zones, recognized as enabling eco sustainable habitats; and through their vibrant characteristics, have either intrigued or have the potential of intriguing mankind for centuries.”

Plants of Care, plant recognition program –
As a hands-on landscape gardener who participates in nation-wide regional plant testing, Wright gained familiarity with programs such as the ‘Southern Living Plant Collection’, ‘Proven Winners’, ‘Plants that Work’ and many more. As a result, a plant proven to enable landscape gardens of CARE could be selected from any one of these programs; but, it is spotlighted by Wright for its ability to inspire people to CARE – have an eco connection of conservation, accountability, recovery and efficiency to the living green that surrounds them.

To inspire others, Wright has made a commitment to quarterly identify a ‘plants of CARE’, a plant proven to work-well in her landscape gardens. Details of selected plants are available at blog program description, http://blog.thewrightscoop.com/2013/04/23/plants-of-care-.aspx. In order to expand her program, Wright is presently soliciting nominations from others. To participate, provide a description that identifies the nominated plant - its origin, picture, landscape garden characteristics, and specifically why this plant should be included in Wright’s plant of CARE program.
