Burbank, CA, May 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Adventures in Film, Inc., the new, boutique, Burbank-based production company founded by Ira Besserman and Jeffrey G. Varga has just released its latest video. It is a promotional spot for the LoverPowerup Apple and Android app featuring a dramatic, tension-filled face-off between President Obama and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un with a surprise twist. The LovePowerup app is based on the old Jimi Hendrix quote: “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace” and allows users to send love around the world and for others to send love back. The video was shot in two days with 24 actors and 34 visual effects shots. After seeing the video, client Matt Fortnow of Lovepowerup, LLC said, “You guys made my dream come true.” The video can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftNhKWPFHSA.

Adventures in Film (AIF) has an active slate of upcoming projects including the features Dancing on the Moon, a charming romantic-comedy about a stiff Brit who goes to Italy for his father’s funeral only to discover he recovered in the hospital and now wants to fix him up with his fiery new step-daughter; 140, a thriller about a naïve fiancé taken captive by a psycho killer intent on wreaking revenge for a past wrong, and Scandalous, a biography of notorious 1950’s starlet Barbara Payton based on the best-selling biography “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye: The Barbara Payton Story” by John O’Dowd. An article by O’Dowd and screenwriter Linda Boroff about Payton accompanied by an extensive photo spread will be featured in the upcoming issue of Future Claw magazine (http://futureclaw.com) due to be released next week. AIF is also in development on Texting Fredo, a half-hour comedy for cable about a lovelorn thirty-something who can’t escape a dysfunctional relationship and Female, a daytime talker about issues of importance to women featuring three hosts specializing in fitness, romance and beauty. Meanwhile, AIF’s commercial department continues to attract new clientele with a pleasantly warped, personal and often comedic take on life in a world which has been overwhelmed by social media.

Director/cinematographer Varga has been a visual effects supervisor with over 30 credits including many Academy Award winning visual effects movies. Besserman has worked in the industry for over 20 years including producing Johnny Was starring Vinnie Jones and executive producing the Sharon Stone vehicle When a Man Falls. AIF recently added powerhouse Australian producer, actress and music host Taylor Mills to its roster of in-house producers.
