A Next-Generation Customer Card Programme: Sportpoint Teams Up with easycash Loyalty Solutions for Its Customer Loyalty Concept

A special feature of the new "Go for Sport" card is the fact that alongside its functions as a bonus and payment card, it will soon also boast multi-channel components as part of the Next-Generation Loyalty approach developed by the customer loyalty specialist from the German city of Hamburg. The partners expect 25,000 customers to take advantage of the first run of cards to be produced in 2013. The card was officially launched on 25th March in perfect timing with the 20th anniversary of the INTERSPORT partner Sportpoint. It is be available in all of the company's 20 stores in eastern Germany.

Sports Fans Benefit from a Direct Team Play

easycash Loyalty Solutions GmbH has been working in cooperation with Sportpoint to process the sporting goods retailer's gift card transactions since as early as 2009. After working on the project for just three months, the partners have now extended their solution by adding an innovative customer card programme just in time for the company's 20th anniversary. The CRM specialist easycash Loyalty Solutions from Hamburg is fully responsible for processing the company's customer card transactions and also operates its service centre. Every time they use their card, Sportpoint customers receive bonus points for the purchase made. The card's integrated prepaid function means that they can then use their bonus points to pay for purchases in all Sportpoint stores. The "Go for Sport" card therefore not only boasts a points collection function, but also features an additional payment function based on a prepaid account. Multi-channel functions will then be added to the programme in its next stage of development, with the incorporation of mobile technologies providing completely new functions and benefits for both Sportpoint and its customers. The virtualisation of the card in particular will play a central role in connection with an intelligent couponing approach.
