Star Trek Historian Larry Nemecek to Appear as Guest of Honor at BlasterCON 2013

Star Trek Historian Larry Nemecek will appear as a Guest of Honor at BlasterCON 2013 on May 10-12 in Woodland Hills, CA. He will be available during the entire convention for autographs, talks, and inside information.

Los Angeles, CA, May 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- BlasterCON, Los Angeles’s newest retro science fiction convention, is pleased to announce the appearance of Star Trek writer and historian, Larry Nemecek. Mr. Nemecek “works in Trekland”— and after years as a Star Trek author, editor, archivist, interviewer, producer, talking head and consultant, that’s about the easiest damn way to say it. It also makes a mighty fine blog name for Larry’s thoughts and unique video chats at TREKLANDblog.com. Perhaps best known as the author of Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion, the universe's renowned Star Trek authority is now working on a documentary about that most legendary of Star Trek convention fiascos, the infamous "CON OF WRATH."

Mr. Nemecek will be onsite throughout the convention weekend, as a featured panelist and in our Exhibit Hall.

“Mr. Nemecek knows everything about Star Trek there is to know. If you want to find out inside information on the series, he’s the man to ask,” said Todd Whitesel, Convention Chair for BlasterCON 2013.

BlasterCON is a three-day general SF/Fantasy convention, with a late-70s/80s retro attitude and an emphasis on history, hardware, and practical effects: models, puppets, props, costumes and makeup. BlasterCON will be on May 10-12, 2013 at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, CA and will feature vendors, panels, workshops, Laser Tag, music, Game Grid Cafe, vintage Coin-Op arcade games, gaming, and cosplay. Registration, with discounts, is open now at www.BlasterCON.org.
