SAI Technology Announces Complete Software Platforms for LTE/Wi-Fi Mobile Access and SDN Cloud Infrastructure
Las Vegas, NV, May 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- INTEROP - SAI Technology, Inc., a leading LTE, Wi-Fi, Mobile SDN and Cloud RAN technologies company, today announced its LTE Advanced Software solutions (PHY Layer L1, L2 & L3) running on the Marvell® ARMADA® XP multi-core cloud processor SoC platform. The companies will demonstrate Mobile SDN and Cloud RAN, including LTE UE, eNB, Wi-Fi access points and complete EPC core end-to-end capabilities that are fully compliant with the latest 3GPP LTE-A Release 10 compliant solutions standards at Interop. The event will be held May 6 -10 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
SAI now enables LTE Advanced distributed mobile SDN and cloud RAN capabilities, including support for Cloud UE devices, CPE, 802.11ac Access Points (APs), and Packet Gateways running on all ARM-based compute and storage solutions. The result is a lower TCO than x86 based solutions, while enabling a next-generation user experience and real-time video applications. SAI provides LTE Advanced solutions to end customers in various vertical market segments with customization support.
Marvell’s software defined storage, networking, compute and mobility solutions powered by SAI software constitute complete ARM-based platform offerings. The ARMADA XP cloud processors platform, powered by SAI Technology, enables end-to-end LTE solutions that include Enhanced Packet Core (EPC), eNB base stations, Hetranet Access Points and Mobile devices (UE) for many of the Enterprise Mobile Cloud Applications on display at INTEROP. These advanced 4G and 802.11AC solutions enable new business opportunities and the greatest service density available for Enterprise and Carrier OEMs looking to take advantage of Mobile SDN market opportunities.
In addition, the new SAI Wi-Fi 802.11AC product with integrated SAI Control and Provisioning of Wireless Access Points (CAPWAP) demonstrates highly scalable, robust enterprise applications, including high-availability business services and real-time video tele-presence. Marvell and SAI’s platforms include a Wi-Fi 802.11AC integrated router with LTE 4G, enabling carrier-grade high availability, robust products and utilize eighth-generation Marvell Ethernet switching and physical layer. ARMADA XP multi-core CPUs, integrated with SAI’s system software solution enable new markets and business opportunities for NAS, edge access and cloud device segments.
“I'm very much honored that Marvell's successful collaboration on SAI’s end-to-end LTE platform solutions for 4G Infrastructure and Wi-Fi 11AC has enabled new business opportunities in the SDN storage, networking and compute for mobile enterprise and carrier access in cloud and infrastructure markets. We’re pleased with our strategic partnership in that it demonstrates a comprehensive ARM-based mobile and cloud experience,” said Ramesh Sivakolundu, vice president and general manager, Connectivity, Servers, Infrastructure Business Unit (CSIBU) at Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.
"SAI’s LTE mobile infrastructure solutions offer highly scalable and robust performance via Marvell’s ARMADA XP processors and Wi-Fi 11AC devices. SAI’s highly integrated LTE mobile SDN infrastructure solutions and cloud RAN components are optimized for LTE UE, eNB and EPC full-featured L1, L2, L3 software and can run on any Marvell ARM-based hardware platforms, delivering the highest performance, throughput, scalability, robustness, and security. SAI’s LTE UE, eNB and EPC support very high quality multi-HD video streams, with multi-voice sessions and extensive data traffic, all seamlessly delivered at the network level, and demonstrate carrier/enterprise scale, commercial grade software quality," said Dr. Venkat Rayapati, SAI’s founder and CEO of SAI. “A fully integrated software solution provides our customers with a significant time-to-market advantage, a 30 percent development cost reduction and a decrease in operational costs by 25 percent, thereby providing vendors the ultimate choice, flexibility and differentiation.”
