Lubbock Fine Appoints First Female Partner
London, United Kingdom, May 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Lubbock Fine Chartered Accountants has fulfilled a long held ambition to appoint a female partner. Clare Munro joins the firm as senior tax partner bringing her synergistic expertise to the firm.
“I’m looking forward to driving Lubbock Fine’s tax department to add further value to the excellent service already delivered to business and private clients,” said Munro. “In an arena where it’s so easy for people to trip up, we can offer real protection and added value whilst at the same time arranging clients’ business affairs to mitigate tax liabilities.”

Having trained with Arthur Andersen, at that time one of the “Big-6,” Munro then joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the corporate tax unit but comes to Lubbock Fine from a similar size mid-tier firm. Of the five women who joined Arthur Andersen together, she was the only one to stay the course and qualify.
“Although Accountancy Age (7 August, 2012) reports that progress of women in the profession has been disappointingly slow over the past 25 years, I’ve never felt that gender has been an issue in my working life,” comments Munro. “I do appreciate though that there are genuine difficulties for many women in this area but these days, a good balance is more achievable than ever.”
