As a math teacher in the Rockdale County Public School System , Martha is the facilitator of leadership conferences, helps students set strategic goals for city council and manages a mentoring program that incorporates the parents in the community. Martha holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Mercy University and is a member of the Georgia Reading Association and the Georgia Science Teachers Association.

In her spare time , Martha enjoys reading , tennis and jogging. In giving back to the community Martha contributes to the Feed the Hungry Charitable Organization and is a member of her local church.
