Simcha Borenstein’s Critically Acclaimed Play Bogosity Returns for Special Limited Engagement June 13-28 at Broadway Comedy Club

Hailed by Tony Award-winner Mario Fratti as a “very funny and innovative play,” Simcha Borenstein’s critically acclaimed Bogosity returns for a special limited two-week engagement at the Broadway Comedy Club beginning Thursday, June 13.

New York, NY, May 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Directed by Noemi de la Puente and starring Carlo Fiorletta and Janet S. Kim, Bogosity reveals the complex and moving relationship between a dance instructor and his assistant.

Bogosity runs Thursdays and Fridays, June 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28, at 6:30pm at the Broadway Comedy Club, 318 West 53rd Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues) in Manhattan. Tickets are available at SmartTix (212-868-4444, www.smarttix.com).

Simcha Borenstein (Playwright) - many plays include The Guilty, Eccstaticies and the Bicoastal Disorder, Tammy and The Date. He directed the first New York revivals of David Mamet’s The Old Neighborhood and David Rabe’s Those the River Keeps. He appeared as an actor in Right on Target, A Tomato Can’t Grow in the Bronx, Talk Radio, Those the River Keeps, the Old Neighborhood, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Simcha’s film work includes Acid Rain, Man of the Century and All About Audition. His web series include Acts of Love (The Proposal), and he wrote and directed the spoof Arpo the Notella Queen.

Noemí de la Puente (Director) made her directorial debut with Gary Morgenstein’s Right on Target in the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival. Her diverse body of work includes writing Generic Hispanic (a comedy about advertising to Latinos), Manuel vs. the Statue of Liberty (musical comedy about illegal immigration), and The Revenge of Suicide Jack (comic western). Noemi is a founding member of Dramatic Question Theatre. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa MFA Theatre Arts program, where she received a Patricia Roberts Harris scholarship.

Janet S. Kim (Melissa) is an actor/writer/director. She most recently wrote, directed and produced the film Shadow. Her stage credits include Right on Target, The Seed, How I Learned to Drive, U-hauls. It's Our Town Too, Shape of Things, As You Like It, and Three Sisters. She also appeared in MTV / Shot Circuits' Horny Doctors sketch.

Carlo Fiorletta (Kaplan) served as executive producer for Surviving Family, and is the award-winning director for several short movies including Nipple Nazis and All About Audition. Fiorletta acted in the upcoming movie Days of the Commune and on stage in Tony Award-winner Mario Fratti’s Iraq/Blindness and Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks’s The Electrocutioner’s Daughter. His film roles include the title character in Jim in the Box. Fiorletta is President of GIAA (Guild of Italian-American Actors).
