IPC Sports Supports the One Fund for Boston Marathon Bombing Victims
Funds to be raised through an appeal on the Fan Band Facebook page
North Andover, MA, May 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- IPC Sports Corp., maker of the Original Fan Band, announced the launch of the Be Boston Strong with Fan Band fundraising campaign to benefit the Boston One Fund. For every new like gained on the Fan Band Facebook page, IPC Sports will donate $1 to the One Fund, a fund to aid the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. IPC Sports' ultimate goal is to make a $2,000 donation.
“As a Boston based company all of us here at Fan Band were heartbroken by the devastating attacks on innocent Americans at the Boston Marathon. As a lifelong Bostonian and a Boston Marathon runner myself it has hit especially close to home,” explained Holly Ruma, CEO of IPC Sports. “My family stood in that exact spot waiting for me to cross the finish line in years past. This year for hundreds of families that joyful moment has instead turned into a lifetime of physical and emotional pain and challenges. We invite sports fans everywhere to join us in helping to raise money that will support the ongoing assistance that all of these brave victims will need in the years to come.”
