AESC Awarded New SMUD Contract
Under this new Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) contract AESC will evaluate, measure and verify energy efficiency savings and demand reductions.
Carlsbad, CA, May 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Alternative Energy Systems Consulting, Inc. (AESC), the trusted leading provider of high quality engineering and management services that enable the rapid deployment of reliable and cost-effective energy solutions, today announced that Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) has awarded them a new services contract. Under this new contract AESC will evaluate energy efficiency savings and demand reduction.
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is a publicly owned power utility that provides electric service to the residents and businesses of Sacramento County California. Under this new contract, AESC will perform evaluation, measurement and verification of energy efficiency savings and demand reductions associated with SMUD's Sacramento Neighborhood Performance Program. This ARRA funded program is focused on engaging one to two Sacramento neighborhoods for purposes of achieving both a 20% market penetration and 20% energy savings per participating customer. The program included a mix of small commercial, single family and multi-family building types.
"We consider this program an important win for AESC because it demonstrates how AESC’s extensive experience with investor-owned utilities can be readily applied in support of the municipal utility industry," said Jerry Gibson, vice president AESC." We expect that the success of this project will be reproducible in surrounding areas that have similar needs."
AESC leads the way in developing alternative energy solutions and services for the utilities, commercial and government organizations. For more information about AESC and its energy solutions, visit us on the web, and connect with us on Linkedin.
