Paris, France, May 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Poetry | Music | Mayhem: New York Meets France!
Vice & Verses is a unique spoken word and music event hosted by New York poet Clara Rose Thornton. Merging powerful poetry, music, and cross-cultural collaboration, Vice & Verses takes inspiration from New York’s and Chicago’s slam scenes, adding the energy, creativity, and intensity of a rock show.
This traveling European series (so far: Croatia, Denmark, France, Ireland) explores the rich possibilities of collaboration. Clara Rose performs original spoken word on Parisian themes, set to original music created and performed by Parisian and New York musicians. Clara Rose’s poetry examines culture, the nature of art, and the nature of the flesh, while the musical palette in this French edition spans hip-hop, sensual trip-hop, and Afropéen rhythms. Poetry in English and French.
