Donations, Support, Awareness Raised for Cancer Charity, Hannah's Chance
Shop A Docket, Australia's leading coupon advertising company, has helped raise the profile of cancer charity, Hannah's Chance, by printing 120 million coupons.
Sydney, Australia, May 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A joint promotion between cancer research charity, Hannah’s Chance, advertising agency, Shop A Docket, and travel company, Classic Holidays, has reaped huge benefits for the charity, with an increase in donations, supporters, and awareness.
Using the extensive advertising and marketing reach of Shop A Docket, involving the printing and distribution of 120 million coupons into 2500 supermarkets and variety stores, shoppers were encouraged to enter a competition on the Hannah’s Chance website to win a trip to Hawaii.
Over the course of the promotion more than 100,000 entries were received across Australia, boosting the profile of the charity, which supports research into sarcoma, a disease affecting 12 to 25 year olds.
Fundraising and Marketing Officer for Hannah’s Chance, Ms Angela Moore, said the promotion exceeded all their expectations.
“Without Shop A Docket providing such huge advertising support and Classic Holidays donating the prize, we would never have been able to raise the profile of Hannah’s Chance so effectively and so quickly,” Ms Moore said.
“The promotion saw more than 100,000 entries, and we increased our subscriber base by more than 20,000 people.
“Donations to the charity, which was not a condition of entry, have almost reached $10,000.
“But the most important outcome from the promotion is the awareness raised about sarcoma and the role that Hannah’s Chance is playing in fighting the disease.”
General Manager (Marketing) for Shop A Docket, Bob Jurkschat, said Hannah’s Chance was the company’s major charity.
“We’ve been involved with Hannah’s Chance since 2011 and have provided in-kind support through highlighting the activities of the charity on our roll receipts and online, as well as direct financial support.
“We are delighted the recent promotion has been so successful for the foundation.”
“We were very proud to be able to help Hannah’s Chance in this campaign,” said Ramy Filo, CEO Classic Holidays.
“The combination of an attractive holiday that we donated and the strong distribution of Shop A Docket has delivered a great result for a wonderful charity.”
