Butterfly Proudly Sponsors the 2013 Butterfly Vancouver Open

Wilson, NC, May 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Butterfly is pleased to announce sponsorship of the 2013 Butterfly Vancouver Open. The venue for this 3-star table tennis tournament, scheduled for May 25 and May 26, is the H.J. Cambie Secondary School located at 4151 Jacombs Road in Richmond, British Columbia. The tournament offers over $5,500 in total cash prizes and is presented by the B.C. Table Tennis Association and sanctioned by Table Tennis Canada.

Tournament events include Open Singles, U-2000 Singles, U-1500 Singles, U-800 Singles, U-7000 Team and U-4200 Team. The format for singles events are round robins (RR) with the best of 3 of 5 games, followed by single knockouts (KO). Open Singles will be the best of 4 of 7 games from semifinals to finals. All team events have round robins (RR) followed by single knockout with the best of 3 of 5 games. Each team should consist of 3 Players that have a combined total rating either under 7000 or 4200. Each team match consists of 4 singles and 1 doubles match. The team that wins 3 matches will be the winning team. The Butterfly Vancouver Open committee includes Amelia Ho, Chandra Madhosingh and Tony Xu.
