MotionElements Invites Artists to Sell Apple Motion Templates in June 2013
MotionElements announces the launch of Apple Motion Templates in June 2013 to address the continued appeal of video templates and potential growth of the Apple Motion userbase. In preparation, Motion template Authors are invited to upload their works to MotionElements to take advantage of its online marketplace.
Singapore, Singapore, May 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- MotionElements (ME), an Asia-Inspired online marketplace for stock animation, video footage, 3D models, and After Effects templates, opens its doors to Artists who create and sell Apple Motion templates as it gears up for the launch of this new product category. A decision made to address the growing demand for video templates online.
Since its establishment in 2008, MotionElements has gradually grown into an online marketplace that serves the various needs of the creative industry. In addition to offering high quality and royalty-free video content, MotionElements has ventured into the video templates industry by beginning offering After Effects templates to its customers in mid-2012. Nearly a year after, MotionElements is expanding its templates line up with the introduction of Apple Motion templates.
According to Mark Sun, Co-Founder, "The appeal of video templates anchors itself for being visually impressive yet highly customizable. Users of of video templates simply load up the supported editing application and begin customizing certain aspects such as text, images, video, color, and timing depending on the design and options made available by the template author. This results in professionally well-made motion graphics sequences that can be used in a variety of cases such as logo reveals, kinetic typography, and photo slideshows."
Motion is a motion graphics application initially introduced by Apple Inc. in 2004. Its current iteration, Motion 5 is currently sold in the Mac App Store for USD 49.99 and unlike Adobe After Effects, is exclusive to the Mac platform. While it currently lacks the depth of its Adobe counterpart, it boasts an interface and workflow that is easier to learn and grasp for newcomers using an Apple computer. Motion 5 takes content creation one step further by allowing users of Motion 5 to easily author templates from their motion graphics creations.
Co-Founder Joanne Chua states, "We believe that the lower barrier of entry and its native support for Apple's similarly competitively priced professional video editing software, Final Cut Pro X (FCP X), provides for a promising audience to sell readily made video templates. Also consider the combined cost of owning both applications is lower than Adobe's similar offerings provide for a valid expectation that the Motion and FCPX userbase will continue to grow."
To address this expectation, MotionElements is offering the growing community of Motion template Authors an online marketplace to sell their creations. The online marketplace operates on a royalty-free business model, where Authors maintain copyright of their work and will earn at least 50% commissions from its sale when they sign as ME Artists. The pages on the site are translated into Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Deutsche to cater to buyers of these markets in their native language.
MotionElements expects the launch of the new product category in June 2013 and is inviting all Motion template Authors to sign up as ME Artists and upload their works in preparation for the launch.
