Second Annual Power Walk for Dress for Success to Bring Fitness and Empowerment to Women in Tampa Bay
Tampa, FL, May 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dress for Success Tampa Bay, a non-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women, announces The 2nd Annual Power Walk for Dress for Success, which will take place at Westfield Citrus Park on Saturday, July 13, 2013.
The 5k Power Walk for Dress for Success Tampa Bay will promote the Health and Wellness initiative of the Professional Women’s Group, a program which provides successfully employed Dress for Success clients with a network of support, practical information and inspiration to achieve self-defined success.
The 2013 Power Walk for Dress for Success marks Tampa Bay’s second installment of this signature event, which is also an international fundraising walk in more than 30 other cities* dedicated to the promotion of an active, healthy lifestyle for women and families.
Dress for Success launched the Power Walk for Dress for Success as a “walking testament” to the organization’s work to help disadvantaged women become healthy in all aspects of their lives – careers, physical well-being, emotional health and more.
“Dress for Success is focused on helping women take the necessary steps to live a healthy lifestyle,” said Katie McGill, chief executive officer of Dress for Success Tampa Bay. “The Power Walk will impact and inspire not only them but also their families.”
The Power Walk for Dress for Success Tampa Bay is open to the public and participants are encouraged to create a team of friends, walk with family, or participate as a Virtual Walker online. All participation will support the programs and services of Dress for Success Tampa Bay. By participating, you will help to empower disadvantaged women throughout Tampa Bay to achieve self-sufficiency and a healthy lifestyle.
