FetalGrowth: First App to Compute Fetal Weight Percentiles for Singleton and Twins Pregnancies

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, May 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- CM40, a company dedicated to the development of medical applications for mobile devices, just released a medical app that calculates fetal percentiles and plots customized fetal growth charts for both singleton and multiple (twins) pregnancies.

The app is called FetalGrowth and so far it is available for iPhone/iPad and soon for Android devices, as well. With the help of the FetalGrowth app, an OB/GYN physician may easily calculate customized weight fetal percentiles for each gestational age.

The app allows keeping the patient information in a database to assess fetal growth progression. Besides performing fully customized fetal percentile calculation and charting of the fetal growth, the app can do basic calculations, whenever certain details regarding the pregnancy and the fetus are not readily available.

"FetalGrowth is quite useful for a OB/GYN physician in its daily clinical practice, as it is a comprehensive tool encompassing both singleton and twins pregnancies. Moreover, using FetalGrowth one may easily detect certain fetal growth pathologies, such as the Small for Gestational Age condition," explains CM40 founder, MD, OB/GYN expert, Francisco Cabrera Morales.
