DIVERSIFICATIONS: Recent Work by Mark Vinsun and Ricardo Osmondo Francis Curated by: Leonides Rosa Molinar in Conjunction with Brooklyn Community Pride Center's Open
New York, NY, May 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- “DIVERSIFICATIONS" is a new art exhibit presented by the LeonidesArts Gallery and the Brooklyn Community Pride Center featuring recent work by painters Mark Vinsun and Ricardo Osmondo Francis.
This exhibit is curated by Mr. Leonides Rosa Molinar, Gallery Owner of the LeonidesArts Gallery and is in conjunction with the Open House event at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center celebrating the grand opening of their new location at Jay St/ Metrotech in downtown Brooklyn.
Mark Vinsun's large, bold, colorful oil paintings are often described as volatile emotional landscapes wrought with both rage and impassioned vivacity; while realist expressionist painter Ricardo Osmondo Francis creates lush surrealistic mixed media works that often depicts the social constructs of masculinity and the complexity of their existence through mesmerizing contemplative portraits. Both painters share in their own perspectives an unabashed response to nature, personal identity, and the human spirit.
Interior designer and gallerist Leonides Rosa Molinar and painter Mark Vinsun founded LeonidesArts NY in 1997 originally under the name of Atelier Arts NY. From the outset the mission of the gallery has been to feature the work of fresh, bold, and unique contemporary artists based in the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean focusing primarily in painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. The LeonidesArts Gallery represents the work of both Mr. Vinsun and Mr. Francis worldwide. The mission of the Brooklyn Community Pride Center is to provide support and services to the borough’s LGBTQ community through original programming and in partnership with existing organizations. The Brooklyn Community Pride Center provides a safe, common space offering physical and mental health services, social support, recreational and cultural programming, as well as being a hub of information for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and families in Brooklyn. Together LeonidesArts and BCPC intend to showcase the very best of what is being created in the New York Art Scene where they have a developing presence and a growing list of admires, supporters, collectors, critics with up and coming collectors. BCPC hours are Tuesday – Friday from 11 AM – 6 PM. "DIVERSIFICATIONS" will run until Friday July 12 2013.
This reception is free to the public. For more information about this exhibit you may contact Ricardo Francis for LeonidesArts at 917 279 5576 rfrancis9876@gmail.com.
