Johnie Fredman Attends Worldwide Conference on Hypnotism
Ada, Oklahoma hypnotist attends worldwide training convention
Ada, OK, August 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Johnie D. Fredman, of Heartland Hypnosis Services, LLC, Ada, Oklahoma, recently participated with over 1,500 other consulting hypnotists from all parts of the United States and numerous other countries in the 2007 annual National Guild of Hypnotists convention and educational conference. The convention, held at the Royal Plaza hotel and trade center in Marlborough, Massachusetts, featured over 316 seminars and workshops presented by an adjunct convention faculty of 200 practicing professionals. Mr. Fredman was recognized for attaining more than the minimum required hours of participation in the National Guild of Hypnotists’ continuing education programs for annual re-certification.
Seminar presenters were from all sections of the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia, and covered continuing-education subjects such as client services, geriatrics, hypno-oncology, children and learning enhancement, smoking and weight control, stress management, professional networking, practice development, legal updates, and many other topics. Of special interest were meetings for clergy hypnotists, Spanish-language practitioners, union hypnotists, and other special interest groups.
Dr. Dwight Damon, president of the NGH says, “It will be hard to beat the outstanding convention we had this year, but we expect to do it again next year with an expanded worldwide faculty.” The next NGH convention, scheduled for August 8-10, 2008, will again be billed as the “biggest, best and friendliest hypnosis convention,” and will be the 57th anniversary of the organization.
The National Guild of Hypnotists is the largest organization of its type in the world. Formed in 1951 and based in Merrimack, New Hampshire, it boasts over 10,000 members in 56 countries. Its conventions draw leading professionals from around the world many who have practices in hypnotism, psychiatry, psychology, medicine, dentistry, osteopathy, chiropractic and many other fields of the healing arts and counseling services. August 11th was proclaimed “National Guild of Hypnotists Day” by Marlborough Mayor Nancy E. Stevens, and the group was honored by both the Massachusetts Senate and House of Representatives.
The National Guild of Hypnotists is the leading advocate of continuing-education for practicing hypnotists particularly since the use of hypnosis in fields of habit control, medicine, behavioral situations, learning enhancement, stress, motivation, self-confidence and other areas has expanded so dramatically during the past two decades.
