Appleton Learning of Georgia Awards Over $400,000 in Test Prep Scholarships
Atlanta, GA, May 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Students in East Cobb, Roswell, Milton, and surrounding communities have the opportunity to improve their ACT® or SAT® score with Appleton Learning. Appleton Learning of Georgia, with locations in Roswell and East Cobb, is offering over $400,000 in full and partial test prep scholarships for the fall test dates.
A higher ACT or SAT score can help students gain admission into their dream college or qualify for more scholarship money.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to provide scholarships for services that can have a tremendous impact on a student’s future,” said Christy Tureta, Branch Director at Appleton of Roswell. “Preparing for the ACT or SAT can not only benefit a student on test day but can also improve a student’s study and test taking skills, which will benefit them in their college and professional career.”
The Appleton Test Prep Course scholarships were awarded to the following high schools: Lassiter High School, Pope High School, Walton High School, Sprayberry High School, Wheeler High School, Roswell High School, Blessed Trinity School, Fellowship Christian School, Milton High School, and Cambridge High School. Students from these schools are encouraged to speak to their guidance counselors for details of the test prep scholarships.
Scholarship recipients will attend Appleton’s traditional test prep course, studying each content area of the test, as well as gaining exposure to test taking strategies. In addition to instructional hours, the students will discover their geniuStyle, or unique learning style, take two practice tests, and have one-on-one strategy sessions with their instructor.
“We want our actions to speak volumes when we talk about being strong corporate citizens,” added Danielle Bartone, Branch Director at Appleton of East Cobb. “Whether through sponsorships, volunteer work, or scholarships for our academic services, we want our schools, parents, and students to know we care and support them in their academic pursuits.”
While Appleton’s test prep course is a small group made up of no more than 15 students per course, the students receive individualized attention and instruction based on their geniuStyle. One of the most unique attributes of Appleton is their proprietary individualized learning program, geniuStyle™,which helps teachers and instructors efficiently and effectively differentiate instruction in the classroom and in one-on-one environments.
Appleton offers a test prep course leading up to each ACT and SAT test date. In addition to their traditional course, they offer one-on-one test prep coaching, emergency test prep sessions, and ACT and SAT Boot Camps during the summer. Appleton of East Cobb is located at 4250 Roswell Road, Suite 610, Marietta, Georgia 30062, and can be reached at 770-971-1500 or EastCobb.GA@AppletonLearning.com.
