Bayer MaterialScience Appoints Christine Bryant Head of Commercial Operations for Coatings, Adhesives & Specialties Business Unit

Pittsburgh, PA, May 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Christine Bryant has been appointed head, Commercial Operations, for Bayer MaterialScience LLC’s Coatings, Adhesives & Specialties (CAS) business unit for the NAFTA region. In her new role, Bryant joins the CAS global leadership team with responsibility for sales, marketing and product management. She is also a member of Bayer’s North American Leadership Team.

Bryant joined Bayer more than 20 years ago as a marketing representative in Pittsburgh. She has held positions of increasing responsibility, including head of Adhesives & Specialties, vice president of regional key accounts, distribution and marketing, as well as her previous role as the global head of Application and Technology Development for CAS. In this role, Bryant oversaw global strategic development projects for CAS.

In addition to her daily responsibilities, Bryant serves on the Adhesives & Sealants Council board. She is also actively involved in Bayer’s United Way program and chairs the annual “Breakfast with Santa” event, in which all proceeds benefit the United Way.

Bryant holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and mathematics from Duquesne University. She earned her master’s in chemical engineering with an emphasis in colloids, polymers and surfaces, from Carnegie Mellon University.
