Annodyne Lent a Hand for a Worthwhile Cause
In honor of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, Annodyne partnered with the Montgomery County SPCA and local businesses to host a fundraising event at their offices in Blue Bell, Pa.
Blue Bell, PA, May 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The event, held the afternoon of Wednesday, April 24, was headlined by a “lunch ’n’ learn” session with Steven Conroy, education coordinator of the Montgomery County SPCA. Mr. Conroy spoke to attendees about the SPCA and their work combating animal cruelty, and how members of the community can get involved.
Following the presentation, guests participated in a raffle and silent auction to win prizes that included a golf outing, Phillies tickets, a $200 gift card to the Capital Grille, and more. In addition to monetary donations, Annodyne also collected much-needed supply donations, such as bath towels, pet food and cleaning supplies.
In total, the event raised more than $1,000, which went directly to the Montgomery County SPCA facilities.
Following the fundraising event, Annodyne employees volunteered at three local animal rescues: the Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown, Pa.; PAWSibilities Rescue in Harleysville, Pa.; and the Kitty Cottage Adoption Center in Norristown, Pa. There they helped socialize rescued animals, cleaned crates and litter boxes, and even did some yard work — whatever each organization needed, volunteers from Annodyne were ready to help out.
“As successful members of the community, it’s our responsibility to give back,” said Anthony Campisi, president and CEO of Annodyne. “We’re committed to making a difference right in our own backyard, and we’re truly grateful we could help this cause through both monetary and hands-on contributions.”
