Basset Hounds and Musicians to Benefit from Goodwill of Local Artist

2hounds Productions Donates to Worthy Causes this Fall

Alexandria, VA, August 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A pet portrait gift certificate valued at $85 will be one item featured in the silent auction to benefit MusiCares, the charitable arm of the GRAMMYs. The auction will be held in Washington, D.C. on September 5, 2007 at the Annual GRAMMYs on the Hill ceremony. Attendees will include leaders in both the musical and political arena. For more event information visit www.grammy.com.

A 2hounds prize package valued at $100 will be raffled off at the end of September to benefit Brood (Basset Rescue of Old Dominion). The monthly raffle is held online and all proceeds go toward kennel care for the adoptees—a growing, critical necessity when foster homes are too full. About 2hounds Productions:
An inane love of animals mixed with a passionate, creative spirit is the driving force behind 2hounds Productions and artist/owner Janelle Welch. “My whimsical photo collages of pets in people situations have been tickling pet owners for nearly a decade—the last two of which were actually for profit, when I began my business,” says Welch. Her portraits are personalized using a submitted family pet photo and combined with a mix of media in Adobe Photoshop. The artist lives in Northern Virginia with her husband John, Savannah the cat, and two ridiculously spoiled dogs, Jake and Chance.
