Emblem Furniture Celebrate 35 Years of Business
Isleworth, United Kingdom, May 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Emblem furniture is a company that has adapted and is thriving, even in today's difficult trading environment.
The firm was established in 1977, in Isleworth, where they still have their warehouse and head office. Its founders had an interest in antique furniture and connections with restorers. As a result, Emblem Furniture has its roots in reproduction furniture and antique furniture, both of which were very popular at the time.
However, by the late 80's demand for this type of furniture began to wane as tastes changed. Increasingly, people wanted furniture in light tones with clean lines. Rather than aspiring to traditional English country house furnishings people leaned instead towards a more Nordic style.
This style of furniture suited the ultra modern homes people were having built so rather than stick with antique and reproduction furniture Emblem Furniture re-invented itself. They began to sell high end, modern furniture to meet the needs of what they knew would be a growing market. It was a good move, and their sales increased.
However, they did not stand still. The company saw the need to reach a bigger market and diversify. The directors of the company realised that the internet could help them to grow their business, so they went online in 2003. They were one of the first independent furniture firms to do so.
Emblem Furniture branches out into other areas
Around the same time, the firm diversified. They began to rent out furniture, and to offer a full home staging service. Their timing was perfect hundreds of property developers needed good quality, high-end furniture to finish off their properties. Over the years, they have helped thousands of developers, property owners and landlords to sell or rent out their properties for the best price possible, and do so quickly.
In 2012, they opened a new office on Kings Road, Chelsea bringing them closer to their growing customer base, in London. Many of the properties and show homes they furnish are at the top end of the market. Recently, they have furnished homes in Harvest Ridge, Quatier 6, Chalfort House and Kingston Hill.
The team at Emblem Furniture plan to continue to diversify and offer new furnishing services. Their plan is to still be in business in another 35 years time.
