Doron Develops a New Commercial Driver Training Program for the Trucking Industry
Doron announces the release of an interactive, training rich DVD program for the trucking industry. This 23-minute DVD based program delivers complete training value and has been developed in close collaboration with truck driver training experts.
Binghamton, NY, December 19, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Doron Precision Systems, Inc. announces the release of a new commercial driver training program tailored to the needs of companies with truck fleets and driver training schools. This new 32-minute program, “Commercial Driver Skills Development”, contains three drive segments developed with the guidance of nationally recognized truck driver training and safety education experts.
Review of critical incidents within each segment provides drivers with the opportunity to practice their truck driving skills throughout three different driving segments. The interactive segments involve driving on an open two-lane road through hilly and curvy terrain interstate situations, interstate driving situations including a stop at a weigh station, and urban settings with railroad crossings and high traffic density.
The program is shot with high-resolution digital video cameras mounted to a tractor-trailer cab performing “live drives”. Days of footage was edited down to 23 minutes to create a training rich interactive DVD program. The program takes advantage of Doron’s DVD technology to offer the highest quality visuals while incorporating vital features such as bar coding. Instructors use navigational capabilities provided by the standard wireless remote control to address any frame, forward/reverse one frame at time, or quickly advance to specific sections within the drives.
