PapaBravo Innovations Expands Operations to Meet Rising Global Demand for Zero Emissions Electric Mining Vehicles

Saskatoon, Canada, June 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- After an initial product launch in October of 2011, PapaBravo Innovation’s (PBI) electric utility vehicles have become the product of choice for underground mining companies wishing to decrease diesel particulate matter (DPM) and ventilation costs in their underground environment.

Overwhelming acceptance of PBI’s new technology in the mining environment and the addition of two new product lines have resulted in rapid growth driving the expansion. The new 34,000 square foot facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan will become home to PapaBravo’s state of the art electric vehicle manufacturing and research and development divisions. The plant expansion will propagate PapaBravo’s continued leadership in electric vehicle technology and electric underground mining vehicles.

The two new innovative product lines include a 4 wheel drive, ½ ton truck suitable for both shaft and ramp access mines and a larger, heavy hauling platform available up to 25 ton GVW that covers a wide range of specialty applications. The ½ ton electric vehicle can be equipped with an open air cab or can be converted to an enclosed cab with heating and cooling make this vehicle suitable for nearly any underground environment. The 2nd product expansion is geared to replace large, heavy diesel equipment underground in all mines globally. With the ability to mix and match, this product can be utilized from a 5ton to a 25 ton GVW and can be configured for almost any purpose underground.

All of the electric vehicles from PapaBravo are designed to outperform their diesel counterparts, these electric vehicles can travel 120 km on a single charge and can re-charge in as little as an hour over a lunch break or crew change, utilizing typical mine electrical grids. By offering this green friendly technology into the mining industry, the air quality risks in mines around the world will diminish.
