Shelter Hope Pet Shop at Janss Marketplace Celebrates 500th Pet Adoption
The band, Player is scheduled to perform a rare upcoming benefit concert on Monday June 3rd at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA, to benefit Shelter Hope Pet Shop, a non-profit organization celebrating their 500th shelter pet adoption.
Thousand Oaks, CA, May 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The band, Player, is scheduled to perform a rare upcoming benefit concert on Monday June 3rd at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA. A portion of proceeds will go to support Shelter Hope Pet Shop, who will be celebrating their 500th shelter pet adoption.
Shelter Hope Pet Shop, a non-profit, volunteer-based pet store, is devoted to helping shelter animals in need, and striving to put an end to puppy mill pet shops. The Thousand Oaks location at Janss Marketplace has been highly successful with over 500 adoptions since opening in November 2011. Their goal is to reach 1000 adoptions by the end of 2013. Kim Sill, Founder of The Shelter Hope Project acknowledged, “We couldn’t be this successful without our volunteers and partners, like NewMark Merrill and Camp Bow Wow. Janss Marketplace donates this space, allowing our volunteers to save many lives! We’re thrilled to work together to help make a difference.”
On June 3rd, Player, which includes original members Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss, known to daytime drama viewers as Ridge Forrester from his many years on The Bold and The Beautiful, will take the stage at The Canyon Club in Agoura, California for a concert that not only celebrates the 500th pet adoption at Shelter Hope Pet Shop, but also the 50th birthday of Devin Devasquez, animal advocate, former Playboy Playmate and wife of Ronn Moss. Ms. Devasquez is the one who decided to spend her birthday celebrating and raising funds and awareness for Shelter Hope Pet Shop, and noted, “This is a fun way for people to help Shelter Hope save 1000 animals, by coming out for a fun evening of live music!” Player, the soft rock band that climbed to the top of the charts in the late ’70s with the hit single “Baby Come Back” is back on the music scene with the new album “Too Many Reasons” and giving fans one more reason to love them as they get ready to perform for the Shelter Hope Pet Shop event.
