The National Football League organisation will be accommodated by The Landmark London Hotel during its stay in London, where they will prepare for the first regular season game the NFL has ever staged outside of America. London, United Kingdom, August 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The five-star deluxe Landmark London Hotel has been announced as the National Football League’s (NFL) official Headquarters Hotel, when the Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants come head-to-head at Wembley Stadium.
The NFL will arrive in London on Wednesday 17 October 2007, with the big football game taking place on Sunday 28 October 2007 at 5pm. In the Dolphins-Giants clash, 90,000 fans will be able to see two of the NFL’s most famous football teams play on British soil.
In true all-American style, the NFL will host an invitation-only “tailgate party” on the grounds of Wembley Stadium prior to the game for approximately 6,000 people.
The NFL organisation will be accommodated by The Landmark Hotel during its stay in London, where they will prepare for the first competitive game the NFL has ever staged outside of America. The Landmark Hotel will also host members of the world’s media and stage press conferences to help the NFL publicise the event.
Frank Supovitz, NFL Senior Vice-President of Events, said: “The Landmark Hotel has a reputation as one of the premier hotels in London and will provide a perfect headquarters for the NFL as we stage our historic London game. We know that the NFL, and our guests, will be offered outstanding levels of service and hospitality and we look forward to The Landmark Hotel playing an important role in the success of the event.”
The Landmark London Hotel, which is the closest five-star Grande Dame hotel to Wembley Stadium, was an obvious choice for the National Football League organisation. It is one of the most prestigious places to stay in the Capital when attending a match or concert held at Wembley Stadium.
In celebration of the upcoming game, The Landmark London will launch a range of NFL cocktails in the hotel’s Mirror Bar during the month of October. Guests can expect to sample an East Coast Dirty Martini, a Florida Sling and, in a tribute to one of NFL’s most successful coaches, The Lombardi Double.
Room rates at The Landmark London Hotel are from £265 plus VAT during the week. Weekend rates start at £248, includes breakfast, a welcome bottle of Champagne and VAT.
