Texas Trust's VP of Mortgage Lending Named Top Mortgage Professional in Independent Consumer Satisfaction Survey

Mansfield, TX, May 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Richard Whitman, Vice President of Mortgage Lending at Texas Trust Credit Union, has received the Five Star Mortgage Professional Award for the second consecutive year.

Whitman is one of 224 professionals, out of 15,765 in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, to be designated a Five Star Professional, which recognizes mortgage professionals based upon overall consumer satisfaction. More than 43,000 recent homebuyers in the Dallas-Fort Worth market were surveyed.

Whitman has been leading the Texas Trust mortgage team since 2006. His service-minded philosophy has helped Texas Trust grow its residential lending to become the largest credit union mortgage lender in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to the Dallas Business Journal.

Less than two percent of all licensed mortgage professionals in the 32-county greater Dallas-Fort Worth market qualified for the Five Star Award based on the research methodology used.

The 2013 award winners were selected based on an independent survey of 43,114 home buyers who purchased a home worth $150,000 or more between August 2011 and August 2012. The survey asked respondents to evaluate the mortgage professionals who served them, based on overall satisfaction and whether they would highly recommend the professional to a friend. Award recipients were also required to have an active Texas license and no record of disciplinary action. A panel of local industry experts determined the final results.

There is no fee for mortgage professionals to participate in the Five Star Professional award. The winners are selected solely on the survey results of home buyers and nominations from real estate professionals.
