Dial An Exchange Sponsors Local Charity for Fifteenth Year in a Row.
Orlando, FL, May 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dial An Exchange (DAE), the world’s largest privately-owned timeshare exchange company, will once again donate to the Boomerang Farm Ladies Charity for Breast Cancer research for the fifteenth year in a row. DAE has supported the charity since it was founded in the late nineties and plans to sponsor this worthy cause once again in July.
The Boomerang Farm Ladies Charity was started in 1999 by the Boomerang Farm Ladies Golf Club after one if its own members passed away from the disease. In 2008, the Cancer Council of Queensland honored the charity with its own grant, ensuring a specific research area to direct all monies raised. Over the past fifteen years, the charity has raised almost $270,000 with a goal of reaching $300,000 this year.
As long time loyal sponsors of the cause, Dial An Exchange will again contribute by providing weeks of accommodation to be raffled off at the event. These week-long holidays provide auction bidders with the opportunity to stay at one of the many lavish resorts located throughout the globe whilst raising money for a fantastic cause. Over the years, DAE’s contribution of week- long holidays has raised a substantial amount of money with the auction fetching anywhere from $600-$1000 apiece, providing a great source of charitable donations for the event.
“It has been a real pleasure to be involved with the Boomerang Farm Ladies Charity for Breast Cancer research over the last fifteen years; being able to support such a worthwhile charity and ultimately help make a difference in the fight against cancer is something the entire DAE team feel very honored to be a part of. We will continue to support this wonderful cause well into the future and beyond,” said Francis Taylor, CEO, Dial An Exchange.
Colleen Lowther, of The Boomerang Farm Ladies Golf Club Fundraising Committee said, "Dial An Exchange has supported The Boomerang Farm Ladies Breast Cancer Charity Day since 2001. The accommodation voucher donated by DAE each year provides our fund-raising with an integral part of our large auction on the day. Over the past 15 years we have raised $269,000 and this year we are hoping to raise $31,000 to take our overall efforts to $300,000. Without the support of DAE and other Gold Coast businesses, we would not have been able to raise such an amazing amount of money for this very worthwhile cause. We are extremely grateful to DAE for their continued support."
