Successful Tutoring Service Ace My Course to Launch Dallas Office June 1

Houston, TX, May 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Ace My Course, a Houston-based tutoring company known for helping minorities, students and families from low-income households, is launching their in-home tutoring service in Dallas June 1.

The Dallas launch will mark the first of several planned expansions of Ace My Course in Texas.

“Studies show that tutoring has a positive effect on academic performance on all levels of education,” said CEO Jenn Whitaker, whose company offers traditional in-home and online tutoring from elementary school to the PhD-level.

“Unfortunately, not all households can afford that. And that's what we want to change.”

With tutoring adding an extra expense for financially strapped families, Ace My Course’s has made strides through its Silver Lining program.

In the spring of 2013 alone, Ace My Course has helped nearly 40 struggling students improve grades.

“We're deeply committed to helping students who otherwise might be left behind. This is a trend we want to continue with our work in Dallas,” Whitaker said.

Assigned on a case-by-case basis, the Silver Lining program highly ranked accredited tutor to children from lower income households at drastically reduced rates.

“We extend an olive branch to families who can’t afford tutoring,” Whitaker said. “And it’s helped many local families who may not otherwise have been able to provide this for their children.”

According to a recent study, U.S. students rank just 25th out of 39 industrialized countries in math and science.

Meanwhile, a 2012 NACAC study shows tutoring has led to an increase in this key area, while increasing likelihood of admission into college.

“This is a very important cause for us. No one should be excluded from good education because of finances,” Whitaker said. “We encourage everyone to reach out to us and we’ll do our best to find a solution that fits every household.”

Whitaker grand opening will feature low rates on the first 30 students to sign up.
